We’re back with our annual Vision Walk, so it’s time to dust off those walking boots and enjoy the beautiful scenic routes of Macclesfield!
This year is extra special as we celebrate 150 years of supporting people affected by sight loss. As an independent charity that relies entirely on funding, events like this help us continue our vital work, enabling people with sight loss to live fulfilling lives at home, at work and in the community. We provide advice, information, training and equipment demonstrations for visually impaired individuals and their families.
Our Vision Walk isn’t just about fundraising, it’s about coming together, enjoying the outdoors and making a real difference. Walking is simple, healthy and fun for all ages. The full route is 10K, but if you prefer, you can complete 5K by stopping at the halfway point.
Join us for Vision Walk 2025 on Saturday 20th September!
We’ll be setting off from our Resource Centre between 10:00–10:30am, and we’ve planned plenty of fun for all the family along the way.
Details:
- Entry fees: 16+ years – £10, 5–15 years – £5, under 4 – free
- Raise £50 or more and get your entry fee back in vouchers
- Crisps, cake, and refreshments at the finish line
- Adventure trail for children
- Every participant receives a lanyard and a completion certificate
Please note: Everyone is responsible for themselves during the walk. If you’d like food and drinks on the route, please bring your own. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome but remain the owner’s responsibility.
We can’t wait to see you there and make this year’s walk one to remember!
